This year’s winner of the TVDSB Central Mr. Volleyball award is Zac Taylor from Oakridge S.S.
Zac has played 3 years with Team Ontario and in 2019 he competed with the U16 Tier 1 Beach National and won a Gold. He has a volleyball scholarship to attend the University of Waterloo for 2022.
Zac has an absolute love of the game! He is always working to get better and is the type of athlete you need to say something “once only”. He is extremely humble and thankful. He never complains about anything. For a guy who knows he is going to play at the next level, and possibly beyond that as well, he doesn’t look to pad his stats or play a preferred position only. He literally will play anywhere the Coach asks him, trusting the Coach that it is best for the team. Zac is very special! He is definitely one of the best all around players Oakridge S.S. have ever had! This award is well deserved and the Oaks are tremendously proud of Zac! We can’t wait to see what comes next for him, and what comes after that as well!
