WCI Jr Girls Basketball team completes outstanding season with TVDSB and WOSSAA titles
The junior girls basketball team from WCI had unbelievable season, winning the TVRA Southeast division with a 10-1 record, a TVRA “A” championship, and a WOSSAA “A” gold medal. The Lady Devils took down Dorchester 32-12 in the TVRA final and defeated Holy Cross 32-22 in the WOSSAA gold medal game. This is the first gold medal in over a decade for the WCI junior girls.
The Junior Parkside Stampeders are Football Champions
For the first time in TVDSB Junior Central Football history, two teams from the traditional South East Conference played for the TVDSB Central title. The Parkside Stampeders defeated the East Elgin Eagles by the score of 25-6. The atmosphere was electric as the game was played at East Elgin in front of a large crowd. Taylor Kehoe of SDCI is the OFSAA Girls Golf Champion
Grade 9 SDCI student, Taylor Kehoe, won the gold medal at OFSAA Girls Golf in North Bay. After day one, Taylor found herself in the lead after shooting one over par.
