Former TVRA Athlete, Julia Gosling, vying for spot on Olympic Team

It was not long ago when former MTS student, Julia Gosling won the coveted SPECTRA award. Shortly after that, she headed for St. Lawrence University to pursue her education and lead the women’s hockey team there.

Now, she will have to defer her 3rd year at the university to travel to Calgary at the end of July to train with the team. Both she and her teammates are pumped and excited!

“It was a pretty easy choice,” the five-foot-10 forward said from her school campus in Canton, N.Y. “My coach has been all for it and my (Saints) teammates were happy for me. I’ll take the year off and come right back and hopefully win a national championship after that.”

Congratulations to Julia and we will be watching and rooting for her and all of the members of the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team.
