Annual Girls Hockey Showcase Game

On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 TVRA hosted our annual Girls’ Hockey Showcase Game at the Western Fair Sports Centre.  Graduating players were selected by coaches from both TVRA Central and TVRA South-East teams to participate in the game.

The night began with a ceremonial puck drop to celebrate two amazing coaches and their many years of dedication to girls’ hockey in Thames Valley.  Both Tim Clayton (Mother Teresa) and Mark Verbeem (Medway) have been involved in girls’ hockey since it first began in Thames Valley over 2o years ago!  Thank you for your many years of service… we will miss you!

Team “light jerseys” took an early lead and despite a late surge by the “dark jersey” team, the “lights” held on to win with a final score of 7-6!  Congratulations to both teams and good luck to all graduates in your future academic and athletic endeavours!

Thank you so much to Craig Watson for organizing and spearheading this amazing event that showcases the incredible talent we have here in London, Ontario. Thank you for your continued leadership here in TVRA.
