Congratulations to the Laurier Rams on their OFSAA AAA Girls’ Rugby Consolation Champion title! The Rams defeated Medway in the TVRA final to advance to WOSSAA where they clinched the gold with a convincing 44-15 win over Stratford DSS.
The Rams continued to OFSAA where they made history with the best performance that a TVRA team has ever had. They lost in the opening match to the future Bronze medalists from Owen Sound, and then went on to win their next 3 games to secure their spot as the OFSAA AAA Consolation Champions.
The Rams represented TVRA with class and skill, showing the quality caliber of Girls’ Rugby that is being played in TVRA.
In TVRA AA action, St. Joe’s defeated Woodstock CI to win gold and continued on to get a silver at WOSSAA. Strathroy DCI won the Championship division final in a tight match, defeating Glendale 19-17. Congratulations to all participants in the TVRA Girls’ Rugby league, to our dedicated coaches and to our rugby officials for their commitment to Girls’ Rugby in TVRA.
