As we all know, anything after March Break was put to a sudden halt. Unfortunately, the East division was unable to hold its annual Boys Captains/Veterans basketball game honouring many deserving athletes. Each representative is selected by their own coach, based on leadership, experience, dedication, hard work, ability, etc. Typically, City would take on the County, in both a junior and senior game. This year’s game was supposed to be played on Thu. Apr. 2nd at WCI with proceeds going to the Terry Fox Foundation in honour of the late Bill Gillespie (the founder of this game).
We are looking forward to having the girls game in November and reprising the boys in 2021. Congratulations to those who were nominated by their coaches!
