Convenor Mike Darling of Oakridge, was honoured for his dedication to high school sport by OFSAA, in his role as convernor for the AAA Volleyball Championships being held in London this week. The entire OFSAA AAA Volleyball committee under Mike’s leadership has worked tirelessly over the past year in order to provide a first class experience for all players, coaches and fans who will attend the championship.
Michele Van Bargen of SDCI was also presented with the prestigious OFSAA Leadership in School Sport award in recognition of her years of leadership in the sport of Volleyball. Michele is a long-serving coach and convenor in girls volleyball and also has played a key role in the development of girls sports at the local, regional and provincial level. TVRA is very proud of the accomplishments of these two outstanding teacher-coaches.
