Four TVRA athletes were selected to play for Team Canada at the U18 IIHF World Championships held in Östersund, Sweden from January 8-15, 2023.
Jocelyn Amos (Medway H.S.), Keira Hurry (London South C.I.), Shelby Laidlaw (East Elgin S.S.), and Emma Pais (St. Thomas Aquinas C.S.S), and the rest of Team Canada had a perfect record winning all five games on their way to the Gold Medal.
Canada outscored their opposition 28-5 beating Finland, the United States, and the host nation of Sweden to defend their gold medal.
This is the second gold medal for Emma Pais and Jocelyn Amos as they were also on the team that won gold in Madison, Wisconsin back in June.
All four players have been selected to represent Team Ontario at the Canada Winter Games held this February in P.E.I. Good luck girls!
