Banting making impressive ground strokes in tennis

Banting’s tennis team made TVRA proud with their success this year! Banting won first place girls singles at WOSSAA and first Place non-ranked boys doubles at WOSSAA. Alex Matic and Endika Torres went on to win first place gold at OFSAA for boys doubles and Kristianna Toth won second place silver in Girls singles at OFSAA!  Congratulations on such an amazing and impressive tennis season!

Julia Tunks smashes two meet records at TVRA Championships

Julia Tunks wasted no time last week at the TVRA Track and Field Championships in both the junior girls shotput and discus. The previous record for the shotput was 12.38 m set by Adele St. John of Banting SS. The previous record for the discus was set by Rebecca Blane of SDCI back in 1999 with a throw of 37.30 m.
