Attila Adamko, a grade 10 student at Medway High School, battled his way to the silver medal at the 2023 OFSAA Wrestling Championships held in Ottawa. Atilla, wrestled a 30-man bracket in the 89kg weight class.
Atilla was also awarded the Martin Pollock Sportsmanship Award for his inspiring display of perseverance, while fostering respect for others in the sport. Martin Pollock was a well-established member of the provincial and national wrestling community and was a retired Peel Regional Police Officer. Sadley, he passed away on October 19th 2022.
