The East Elgin Varsity Girl’s hockey team are TVRA Southeast Champions after they swept their playoff series against Lord Dorchester Secondary School. All three games of the series were close, as the two teams were evenly matched. The Eagles walked away with wins in Game 1 and Game 2 due to some stellar goaltending and a well rounded attack. In Game 3 the Eagles got behind the 8-ball early but rallied to tie it up in the final minutes. Winning in overtime the East Elgin Eagles became champions. The Eagles finished their season with a perfect 8-0 record in TVRA play and will compete at WOSSA on March 7th. Well done girls. Your coaches are proud of you.
