Congratulations to Isabella Cotton on being recognized with the 2021 Ms. Basketball Award which is presented to the outstanding “Player of the Year” in the LDA conference!
Bella is a dominant force on the court and has been an impact player that led Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School to four senior LDA Championships (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021), two WOSSAA AA Championships (2018 and 2019), and two OFSAA medals – Antique Bronze (2018) and Bronze (2019).
Since grade 9, Bella has been a starter on the Senior Basketball team. She is known to be a threat at both ends of the court. Offensively, she regularly leads the Spartans in scoring with her ability to attack the basket and defensively, she leads the team in rebounds and steals.
All the best to Bella, as she takes her talents to Laurier University where she has committed to playing basketball for the Golden Hawks and will pursue her post-secondary degree!
