TVRA Athlete Spotlight – September Edition with Carson Lumley

When watching this young aspiring athlete compete, it’s easy to recognize that his future is bright.  A triple sport athlete in baseball, volleyball, and basketball, Carson stands out in any sport he competes in.  He is a student at Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School right here in London, Ontario and is a member of the AAA London Badgers Baseball organization.  When he isn’t pitching, he contributes as an outfielder. This past season, Carson was an integral member of the 15U Badger team as well as being called up to play on the 16U and 18U teams (that’s a double step up!). Carson’s phenomenal performance earned him a spot at the Ontario U Camp. This camp consists of the top baseball players in Ontario that will compete in the Canada Cup tournament which is a main recruiting tool for Team Canada.  And he didn’t stop there! Carson competed at the 15U National Championships this past summer with Whitby and was the gold medal pitcher and tournament MVP. Here are some of the impressive stats that Carson has racked up with his 15U Badgers team this year:

PitchingHitting
65 innings50 games/170 plate appearances
9 earned runs43 singles, 12 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs
108 strikeoutsBatting average .442
ERA 0.959

We look forward to watching him continue his success at both the school level and with the Badger organization.  Great job Carson!
