LDA and TVDSB Central Volleyball Finals to be held at Fanshawe College

The Girls’ TVDSB Central Volleyball finals will be held at Fanshawe College on Friday, February 19 followed by the LDA finals on Tuesday, February 23. TVRA is excited to partner with the Fanshawe Athletic Department in hosting these events. Admission is $5. Children under 12 are free. Read more to see the game schedule.

TVRA Mr. Volleyball Awards presented at All Star Game

The Boys Volleyball season ended with an outstanding evening of volleyball. Teams were composed of players from all three conferences in TVRA. A huge thank you to John Paul II for hosting this event and to our guest coaches, former National team players Paul Duerden and Steve Brinkman. TVRA would also like to congratulate all nominees of this years Mr. Volleyball Award. Catholic Central Crusaders are LDA, WOSSAA and OFSAA Football Champions

The Catholic Central Crusaders Senior Football team captured the OFSAA Western Bowl title winning 40 – 7 against the St. Peter’s Knights from Ottawa. Their OFSAA win completed an undefeated 11 – 0 season. On the road to OFSAA, they defeated the Lucas Vikings 18 – 6 at WOSSAA and the St. Thomas Aquinas Flames 38 – 9 in the LDA Final. According to Canada Football Chat, the Crusaders finish the season ranked 4th in Canada and 2nd in Ontario.

TVRA All Star Girls Basketball games will be held at Saunders Tuesday Dec 1

The TVRA All Star Girls Basketball games will be held on Tuesday Dec 1 starting with the Junior game at 6:00 followed by the Senior game at 7:30.

Medway wins TVRA Field Hockey Championship

Medway defeated Parkside 2-1 at City Wide Fields on Thursday to capture the TVRA Field Hockey Championship.

Both teams qualified for WOSSAA based on their semi-final wins earlier in the day.

STA wins TVRA Central Girls Golf Championship

The Flames Girls’ Golf team captured the first official TVRA championship of the 2015-16 athletic season, winning the TVRA Central team title at The Dorchester on the Thames Golf Course. Members of the team include J.J. Sparling, Alyssa Burgess and Payton Sparling. The Flames are coached by Janet Read.STA Girls Golf Team

Jackson Bowery of Laurier defends golf title in a playoff

Laurier Rams golfer Jackson Bowery defeated Jack Gilles of Saunders by sinking a 25 foot birdie putt on the first extra hole in TVRA Central Boys golf action on Thursday. Both players completed their rounds shooting a three over par 75 at Forest City National. Bowery defended the individual championship he won in 2014. The next golf action is in St. Thomas, at the WOSSAA championships, to be held on Oct 1.
