TVRA East – Girls Captains/Veterans All-Star Basketball Game
On the evening of Thursday November 30th, WCI hosted the East division Girls Captains/Veterans Game to celebrate a very successful season. This year’s game consisted of the junior and senior players competing in a combined game.
As per tradition, City took on the County in a spirited affair. The City handily defeated the County 61-35. There was a junior and senior MVP rewarded at the conclusion of the game.
Senior City MVP – Allison Couwenberg (CASS): 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists
Junior City MVP – Brianne Kunderman (CASS): 11 points, 9 rebounds
Senior County MVP – Tori Cole (Glendale): 5 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals
Junior County MVP – Sarena Beaudry: 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals
Proceeds raised at the game went towards the WCI – Operation Sharing / CAS Food/Gift Drive. $500 will be donated to assist Oxford County families over the holidays.
